We are so lucky in our ward of South Croydon to have parks like Haling Grove and South Croydon Recreational Ground and Croham Hurst Woods. These are a lifeline for so many of us in these difficult times helping protect our physical and mental wellbeing.
I live near Croham Hurst woods and having formed and chair Friends of Croham Hurst woods back in 2003 it's lovely people send me comments and photos of the Hurst
Many more people are using our green spaces and as far as I can see most care for and respect them. There have been a few instances of groups of men and women on the top of Croham Hurst Woods sunbathing, cycling and smoking cannabis.
Both Council and Police are aware and will patrol when they can. Police advise residents if they are concerned about anti social behaviour in any of our parks and green spaces rather than engage to call
101 or 999. There is a Covid19 Croydon Police minibus whose officers will respond to Covid 19 related incidents.
