Elderly and vulnerable residents at Cedar Court have been trying to get regular collections of their waste and recycling for the last seven weeks. One area of the flats has food and waste bins that are infested with maggots and smell absolutely dreadful. Despite numerous calls, emails and on line reports the bins remain full. The council is now so overwhelmed with requests for missed bins the hope of getting this collected is proving almost impossible. I have contacted the director at the council who I am sure will do his best to resolve matters. In the meantime, residents are trying to keep the maggots at bay and are spraying the bins to try to prevent the horrible odour.
