This is an appalling Brick by Brick application. It seeks to build a huge 3 story block of flats on the green space of the current block at 279/289 Selsdon rd. At a stroke it removes garages, green amenity space and outlook, washing lines and will cause parking problems for current residents. No parking is proposed for the proposed block. This application should have been refused and the 4 Conservative councillors voted to refuse this application. I raised these issues at Planning Committee as well as highlighting problems for some residents with disabilities as future residents of the proposed block.Two members of the majority Labour Party called for a deferral and this was supported by the 4 Conservative councillors.
i would like to see this entirely inappropriate and damaging application withdrawn completely but knowing the record of Brick by Brick I very much doubt it. I expect it to come forward again with minor amendments.
