One disastrous aspect of the Labour Council’s inability to provide sound financial management to the borough is the potential loss of the local library. Although small, the library is part of Old Coulsdon’s civic life. The library is where local residents can obtain information, have access to computers and the internet and not least access to books. All these services are over seen by professional and well liked staff. Local residents will be worse off if this facility closes as part of the Council cut package.
