It was a real pleasure to be part of the series of festivals that took place at Wandle Park last week. On Thursday thousands of young people from schools across the Borough took part in the CR Talent Festival hosted by the Croydon Music and Arts Service.
On Saturday large crowds flocked to Wandle Park to take part in Croydon’s Pride Parade and Party, despite song strong winds, that proved a slight challenge to the many community organisations and groups that had stands at the party there was a real warm, friendly and community atmosphere.
Then on Sunday the park was full of music, creative arts and dance as families and friends descended on the park for an amazing Mela festival. With the sights and sounds of Asian culture coming alive in Croydon.
