Our stalwart volunteers, Mick, Julie, Glynis and Hazel joined me this morning for our monthly session at the Bird Sanctuary in the Glade despite the wet start.
What a difference to the St Johns Path they made - see the attached photo. It is quite wide!!
I unfortunately spent the 2 hours picking up litter from the perimeter fence along The Glade, Keston Avenue and St Johns Path.
Why is it necessary to throw so many bottles and cans over the fence some in bags? The birds, badgers- we could see lots of new activity around the setts from the Glade, and other animals that frequent the site could easily be trapped in disgarded rubbish.
Please be kind and take your rubbish home with you.
