A wonderful turnout today at the Bird Sanctuary, The Glade,Old Coulsdon continuing the clearance of the fence and path. My thanks all the volunteers today- Nikhil, Rob Smith and family, Glynnis, Janet, Adrian, Jackie, Nicole, Jerry, the 7 members of Coulsdon Manor Rotary, Michael Deacon who bravely cuts through the undergrowth to enable volunteers to undertake the removal of the ivy brambles and bindweed.
The Bird Sanctuary has been neglected by Croydon Council for many years but the volunteers have suggested we form a Friends Group to maintain the improvement each year now we have cleared so much . Any one interested in joining in please contact Cllr Margaret Bird.
