A number of residents have contacted me in relation to the late evening hours for some of the bin collections. This is the response I have received from the director: "The COVID pandemic has led to a backlog with the scheduled MOTs for vehicles. In order to resolve this issue and ensure all vehicles on the service are able to be MOT’d several of the vehicles are ‘double shifting’ which means one vehicle services two rounds. This means that collections can be considerably later than they normally would be". Hopefully once all the vehicles have been MOT'd normal service and hours will be resumed.
