Every year, weather permitting, the BBMF organises a flypass over Kenley airfield on the closest Sunday to 18th August. This commemorates Kenley's worst day of the 1939-1945 war when on 18/08/1944 the airfield suffered a prolonged attack during which many people lost their lives, both on and off the airfield.
It's hoped that a Spitfire and a Hurricane will fly over the airfield at about 2:30pm on Sunday 20/8, and it's a spectacle not to be missed..
Hopefully see you there?
