Cllr. Andy Stranack met with Grace Obar and Charles Easom at the Yeha Noha Cafe in South Norwood. Andy offered support and heard about the aim to set up a new Croydon wide charity that will partner musicians with community groups including lunch clubs for the elderly, day centers and care homes.
Cllr. Stranack said:-
"Both Grace and Charles are inspirational characters, although I initially met with them to talk about their new charity, the conversation quickly grew to cover topics from overcoming disability, having a positive attitude to life and cultural similarities and differences between nations.
Grace and Charles have worked together in the past, bringing music and musicians from around the world to the UK. I am sure that their new venture will be a great success. In addition I have to thank Yeha Noha Cafe who provided excellent service and lovely coffee, well worth a visit next time your passing Norwood Junction Railway Station."
