Cllr. Andy Stranack met with community representatives from Monks Hill last Tuesday (11th Oct.) to discuss the best use of community buildings on the Estate. The meeting was hosted by the new lighthouse facility at St. Francis and Andy met with representatives from St. Francis Church, Quest Academy, Woodlands Children Centre, the local Irish Club, Councillor Officers, Managers from Monks Hill Sports centre alongside local Cllrs Robert Ward and Joseph Lee.
Andy commented
“It was excellent to hear about all the community work that currently takes place on Monks Hill as the discussion moved forward it became clear that by working together the various groups have opportunities to enhance existing services as well as the potential to run new services. I hope the way that the community is coming together on Monks Hill can serve as an example to other communities across Croydon. The work being done by all parties on Monks Hill is really inspirational.”
