Whilst industrial action by ambulance drivers continues patients whose conditions are life threatening are unlikely to get an ambulance. Where the condition is not life threatening patients should use NHS111 online and where possible it is advised that you arrange alternative transportation to hospital.
Patients should only call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This includes unconsciousness, chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe loss of blood and choking.
There is more information on NHS non-emergency services in the attached.
