Jan Buttinger has been a Kenley Councillor since 1998 and is married with two children. She is a teacher by profession and serves as a Governor for a local school. She has held a number of responsibilities on the Council and is currently chairman of the Corporate Services Committee. She is keen to ensure that residents receive good value for money from the Council and understands the need to protect the Green Belt. Preservation of the environment is key and Jan actively engages with Residents and Council Officers to achieve the best for Kenley Ward.
Steve Hollands is a Croydon man having lived in the borough more or less his whole life. Steve's family have been connected to Croydon since the late 19th century. Living in north Croydon until the late eighties and now in Purley with his wife and two children. Steve has a strong affinity with Croydon as a whole.
Steve has been a Kenley councillor since 1998 and has campaigned locally to keep both Kenley and Purley a green and pleasant place in which to live. Steve's main council responsibity is as a member of the Council' s Planning Committee.
Steve has been a Croydon Councillor for Kenley since 2002 and was Deputy Leader of the Council.
Steve is a South Londoner who studied at Brockley Grammar School and who is a lifelong Crystal Palace supporter. An animal lover, he shares his life with four dogs and Louis the cat. He is also married to Michele with grown up children.
He successfully stood for election in May 2008 as the GLA candidate for Croydon and Sutton and was re-elected in 2012. He has a particular interest in crime and safety, plus community cohesion as well as protecting our environment and green spaces. He is also a firm advocate for social mobility and encourages the development of young people.
He was appointed as a non-executive adviser for neighbourhoods for the Mayor's Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) in October 2012.
